Client: Global Investment Company

Venue: The Arts Hotel, Barcelona

The Brief

The Global Leadership Summit is an annual 3 day conference, which brings together more than 180 of our client’s top Global Business Leaders. First Network was honoured to be asked back once again to run the 2016 GLS.

This year’s venue was Barcelona’s fabulous Arts Hotel, with delegates flying in from all around the globe to attend a program of conferences, breakout events and entertainment.

The 2016 conference theme was ‘RETHINK’. The focus of the theme was thinking outside the box and finding new perspectives on existing ideas. It proved to be a very inspiring and campaignable concept, with thought-provoking straplines such as ‘Wishful Is Not Thinking’, ‘Comfortable Should Be An Uncomfortable Place To Be’ and ‘The Best Is Yet To  … Gone’.

The GLS is one of the most important events in our client’s annual calendar, and it was imperative that it ran absolutely flawlessly.

On behalf of the team, I would like to extend a huge thank you for all your hard work in making GLS the success it was.

(The hosts) were extremely happy with how the room looked, the impact of the stage and thrust and the overall production.

You guys make us look good and its very much appreciated. Thanks again.

The Solution

First Network shipped a convoy of trucks out to Barcelona, loaded up with all the equipment, staging, lighting, audio systems – and crew!

The bespoke stage featured two large format high resolution LED walls which were used to broadcast slides throughout the presentations as well as straplines appropriate to the RETHINK theme. The stage itself was given relief and interest via staggered wings and multiple entrances through which speakers could make their entrances and exits. The main entrance and 3 dimensional lettering were backlit with hundreds of hidden colour-changing LEDs, which all added to the dramatic effect.

The overall result was a very slick and polished series of speeches, presentations and seminars. The event could not have run better and we were so pleased to have been involved.
