One of the key dates in the annual conference calendar, The Morningstar Investment Conference – or MIC – brings together some of the financial industry’s top minds. This annual event typically attracts over 450 delegates who come to hear the views and future forecasts from financial experts. The 2024 event was held at London’s prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel which has been the venue for a number of years and lends itself perfectly to the occasion.

The sheer size of the event, along with large number of delegates, meant a need for some special consideration and a particular set of venue attributes. All delegates had to have unhindered views of the full stage and audio needed to be crystal clear. The venue was chosen for its flexible communal areas; a large number of good-sized breakout rooms were used in order to accommodate everyone comfortably.

First Network provided twin high resolution 5.5m @absenled displays against a 24m branded polycanvas backdrop, full staging, lighting, and rigging with a pair of branded polyglass lecterns. The Royal Lancaster’s Nine Kings Suite provides a spectacular, pillarless venue, which can be divided into separate areas and then revealed again at the touch of a button.

Break-out meetings were held in the venue’s Beech Suite. Boasting dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows and views over Hyde Park, this quieter space provides the perfect contrast to the cavernous ballroom.
