Tomorrow never waits
This conference was all about scale, with the company’s senior leadership team from around the world joining together in the historic Old War Office – now home to Raffles London at The OWO – for three days of presentations, breakout sessions and networking.
Our 1.9mm LED display glittered across the entirety of the venue’s main ballroom, spanning 22m wide and 3.5m high. A central LED feature display and bespoke stage design created depth and dynamism, allowing for smooth (and sometimes surprise!) entrances for the presenters.
Never all work and no play
Our client wanted this to be an interactive event for their guests. Inspired by the venue’s historic links to Ian Fleming’s James Bond series, we were able to build some interactive games. Digital roulette wheels corresponded to table numbers, giving everyone in the room a chance to speak and be heard. We used catchboxes for added excitement and engagement between speakers and guests, supplemented by handhelds and our Shure Axient Wireless System – the combination of which enabled us to manage inputs from all 56 wireless mics and multiple playback machines, including 7.1 surround sound.
This event didn’t come without its challenges. Working in a historic, grade-listed building comes with its own pros and cons, especially when it comes to space.
For this project, we had to build a bespoke control room and speaker green room in the car park! This innovative solution allowed our client to make full use of the space in the main ballroom, while still ensuring smooth communication for our team, and seamless delivery of the event.
