First Network has now delivered this client’s Annual Investment Conference for 4 years running.

This year’s event took place at Rome’s prestigious Hotel Cavellieri. The 2-day conference brings together more than 200 of the company’s key customers from all over the world and is one of the most important dates in our client’s calendar. So it was of critical importance that every element ran precisely to plan.

First Network worked closely with the client in the preceding months to pull together an eye-catching, exciting and engaging conference which would leave delegates with a lasting impression.

The theme of the conference was ‘Decoding Signals’. In order to incorporate this theme our creative team designed a really interesting custom-made set and backdrop.

Square portholes were cut out of the back panel of the set and animations were projected through these from behind. The design effectively created a series of small screens in different sizes, on which images could be shown throughout the speeches.

A program of entertainment was planned to compliment the seminars throughout the day and to provide opportunities for delegates to socialise and network between presentations.

Welcome drinks were held on the hotel’s terrace – the celebrated Terraza degli Arnaci – which commands breathtaking views across the Eternal City.

In the evening delegates were taken to Vatican’s historic Galleria Chiariamonti for a special gala dinner within the walls of the Vatican City itself. Dinner was preceded by a cardinal blessing which added to the drama and solemnity of the event. A choral octet provided fitting musical entertainment for the occasion.

On the second day of the conference, speakers included former US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice, and Founder of the Internet, Sir Tim Berners Lee. Both delivered inspiring addresses, contributing to an overall experience which we hope delegates will remember for many years to come.
