Morningstar #MIC2024

We were at the fabulous Royal Lancaster Hotel in West London last week, delivering the Morningstar Investment Conference 2024. This annual conference for investment professionals brings together some of the financial industry’s top minds and has long been a key feature of the annual conference calendar. We have been privileged to work on MIC events for many years and it’s always an absolute pleasure.

Set up included twin high resolution 5.5m @absenled displays against a 24m branded polycanvas backdrop. Full staging, lighting, and rigging with a pair of branded polyglass lecterns.  Over 450 delegates came to hear the views and future forecasts from financial experts at the prestigious Royal Lancaster Hotel, London.

The location also deserves mention. The Royal Lancaster’s Nine Kings Suite is widely regarded as the ultimate venue for product launches and conferences. Its scale and adaptability are a winning combination, providing a spectacular, pillarless venue which can be divided into separate areas and then revealed again at the touch of a button.

The area enjoys good natural light by day, whilst after dark, dazzling chandeliers can be lowered to create an enchanting ambience. This truly experiential space is packed with state-of-the-art technology and is beyond impressive.

MIC2024 also made use of the stunning Beech Suite. With its dramatic floor-to-ceiling windows and views over Hyde Park, this quieter space provides the perfect breakout meeting area.

Another fantastic event. Huge congratulations to everyone on the team. We will see you in 2025!

Halloween Ball London

A stylishly spooky turn out for The Unicef Halloween Ball

A host of Unicef UK Ambassadors and high-profile supporters led last week’s stylishly spooky turn out for Unicef UK’s Halloween Ball. The evening raised a phenomenal £250,000 to support Unicef’s life-saving work for children in danger around the world.

We were honoured to play a part at the event, which saw stars like Keeley Hawes, Anne-Marie, and Laura Whitmore descending on One Marylebone, London for a Halloween experience like no other. The event featured an an interactive “haunted house’ drinks reception and an elegant baroque themed dinner, provided by event caterers Dish.

Entertainment included stellar performances from chart topper Anne-Marie, Unicef UK Ambassador Jessie Ware, and legendary musician Jools Holland.

Dinner guests heard from Unicef UK supporter Levison Wood who spoke about the vital work made possible by generous donations, having recently arrived back from Democratic Republic of Congo where he saw first-hand Unicef’s live-saving work.

Guests pledged their support at a money-can’t-buy auction – with lots including diamond earrings worn by Olivia Colman at the 2019 Golden Globes, a brown suede jacket worn by Roger Moore in Octopussy (1983) and a once in a lifetime velodrome cycling experience with Sir Chris Hoy.

Guest performer Jools Holland said: “It’s been such a privilege performing on behalf of Unicef UK tonight and I know the money raised this evening will help children around the world stay happy, healthy and safe. From the spooky costumes to the incredible auction lots the whole evening has been spectacular. A massive thank you to everyone involved.”

Douglas Alexander, chair of Unicef UK, said: “Since 2013, the Unicef UK Halloween Ball has raised nearly £5 million which helps protect children in danger around the world. Money raised from tonight’s event will help us continue vital work to ensure no child is forgotten – especially those at greatest risk and in the hardest to reach places. A huge thank you to everyone who bid at the auction, bought raffle tickets or donated during the pledge moment. We couldn’t support the world’s most vulnerable children without you.”

Our crew were delighted to be a part of the team of consummate professionals who came together to ensure the event’s success. The money raised at Unicef UK’s Halloween Ball will help Unicef, the world’s leading children’s organisation, support children in danger around the world. Since 2013, Unicef UK’s annual Halloween Ball has raised nearly £5 million to support Unicef’s work.

We were so glad to have been involved in such an important – and fun – evening.

Madrid Investment Conference

We had a great start to our Madrid Investment Conference yesterday. First Network's teams of Project Managers and Technicians worked around the clock to get the stage, audio systems and lighting up and running.

The conference took place at Madrid's Historic Gallery of Modern Art - Museo Reina Sofia in the heart of the vibrant Spanish capital. Comprising a series of seminars and talks, with networking opportunities between sessions, the Investment Conference is one of the year's headline events for our client. The main event takes place in the venue's Auditorium 400, which seats up to 425 delegates in a theatre-style setting.

Our team worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that every element of the event ran precisely to plan.

Well done to all involved.

And They're Off!

Today marks the start of one of the busiest weeks in our annual calendar here at First Network. Teams of crew and project managers, as well as tonnes of equipment,  have spent the weekend travelling across Europe as we set up for conferences in Madrid, Berlin and Zurich.

The photos below show crew in our warehouse loading up equipment for the long drive ahead and initial stage set up at the Museo Reina Sofia in Madrid.

More news to follow as the conferences unfold.

All the best to everyone involved.

First Network Conference Leads the Way

First Network were at London’s historic venue 'The Brewery' yesterday,  delivering a Leadership Conference for a Global Investment Bank.

With its cavernous open spaces, The Brewery provides the ideal venue to host such a large delegation. Over 950 people were seated in the main room and all content was broadcast to relay rooms within the venue for the benefit of overflow guests.

Our team built a customised stage set which housed front projected twin screens. Plasma relay screens were placed at the back of the room in order to ensure that every delegate got the full impact of the addresses.

We are enormously proud of the positive feedback we received on the day and look forward to working together again in the near future.
