Inspiring Performances at Lowry Investment Conference
First Network delivered an Investment Conference on behalf of a major wealth management client at Manchester's iconic Lowry Hotel last week. 200 delegates gathered from around the UK to attend. The day comprised of a series of seminars by senior managers and keynote speakers and culminated in an afternoon workshop.
A particular highlight of the event was a fascinating speech by celebrated Sports Psychiatrist, Dr Steve Peters. Professor Peters presented his famous ‘Inner Chimp’ theory which identifies the struggle that takes place in the human mind. Once this is explained, the theory goes, an individual might apply this understanding in a practical and beneficial way to overcome fear of failure or other obstacles to success and fulfillment.
The Investment Conference closed with a sumptuous gala dinner and world class entertainment from dueling pianists, Joe Stilgoe and Anthony Strong.
Technical set up included a pair of 4.5m x 2.5m Absen A3 pro LED walls with customised lighting and D&B audio PA. Tight timings presented something of a challenge. We needed to swiftly break down and reset the daytime stage before the dinner appearance by the dueling pianos.
We were very proud of the calm professionalism of our team on the day and the Investment Conference ran without a hitch. It was a fabulous event and First Network were delighted to have been involved.
Inspiring Speaker Sir Tim Berners-Lee closes Rome Conference
Sir Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, addressed delegates with an inspiring speech at the close our 3 day investment conference in Rome this week.
It was a fitting end to what has been an exceptionally motivating and dynamic event.
