Sustainability and Investment Conference at The Corinthia
Last week saw First Network back at London's Corinthia Hotel. We delivered projection, lighting and audio for an Investment Conference on behalf of a leading Global Investment client.
The event brought together more than 150 of the company's top UK clients for a series of seminars on the subject of 'Sustainable Investment'.
Space was at a premium so our technical team specified ultra short throw lenses with laser projectors. These ensured maximum clarity and definition of images, whilst enabling the equipment to tuck neatly out of sight.
The Investment Conference ran without a hitch. Well done to everyone involved.
First Network Renews Montcalm Partnership Agreement

Staying the Course - Global Investment Conference at The Corinthia
It was fantastic to be back at the fabulous Corinthia Hotel last week, this time to deliver The Investors UK Wholesale Conference on behalf of a leading Global Investment client.
First Network provided full AV kit including staging, lighting and twin front-projected screens. A series of relay screens were also set up in breakout rooms to ensure delegates were able to follow proceedings from anywhere in the venue.
Under the headline 'Staying the Course' the theme of the conference was 'Resilience', reflecting the current backdrop of economic uncertainty. Creatively the design execution used Emperor Penguins to dramatic visual effect. Known for 'working together in challenging terrain' and demonstrating 'true resilience in the harshest conditions', the Emperor Penguin provided a fitting and visually striking metaphor.
Presentations focused on the navigation of the main trends shaping today's global economic landscape. Former White House advisor Pippa Malmgren hosted a lively panel debate on the disruptive forces changing the industry. Teams of investors then pitched their cases for best risk-adjusted returns to a panel of industry heavy-weights. The afternoon saw a series of smaller breakout sessions with portfolio managers, allowing delegates the opportunity to look more deeply into their own funds.
We were very pleased with the smooth-running of the event and the client said 'This year’s conference was a hugely enjoyable day full of insightful discussion exploring resilience from all angles – economic, investment strategies, client challenges and personal stories.'
World class tennis player and sporting legend, Martina Navratilova brought the day to a close with a moving story of personal resilience.
Facebook GROW at the Soho Farmhouse
The venue was the idyllic Soho Farmhouse. The newest addition to the Soho House group, the Farmhouse is a private members club set in 100 acres of rolling countryside. It provided the perfect backdrop for the two-day offsite which combined conferences and presentations with activities and fine dining.
This is the second time First Network have delivered this annual event and we were delighted to have played a part.
Jitopreneurs Business Conference 2017
First Network are at the Park Plaza Hotel Riverbank this week for the international JITOPRENEURS Business Conference 2017
The Jain International Trade Organisation (JITO) is a global network of businessmen, industrialists and professionals, brought together to practice and promote ethical business practices in accordance with Jain principles. JITO works to create a business community and connect professionals in the UK with the aim of fulfilling their visions of Service (Seva), Knowledge (Shishka) and Economic Empowerment.
The JITO network has over 5,000 members worldwide, bringing access to a wealth of experience and knowledge on both a regional and global level. JITO UK holds regular business events to encourage networking and knowledge sharing within the Jain business community. With global reach and an expansive network of members, JITO UK aims to action its humanitarian responsibility and provide care for the underprivileged through charitable activities.
Following successful conferences in Dubai in 2015 and Silicon Valley in 2016 JITO chose London as host city for the third International Business Conference. The conference aims to foster entrepreneurship, provide its members with an important global networking opportunity and promote Indo-UK business collaboration. Guest speakers included UK Secretary of State for International Trade, Dr. Liam Fox and Steel Magnate Aditya Mittal (ArcelorMittal)
First Network provided full audio, stage sets, lighting and comprehensive technical production with a striking LED screen centre stage.
Evening entertainment included an incredible demonstration of the world famous Mirror Ball Act of Valeriya Murzak. The conference was a huge success with both the organisers and the delegates. We were delighted with the results – many thanks to all involved.

With winter approaching and the long balmy days of August a fading memory, we thought we'd take the opportunity look back on some of the many events we ran over the summer.
It's been a very busy season, with teams from First Network trekking all over the country with audio equipment, lighting, cameras, staging LED screens and kilometres of wiring.

The AV Awards recognise best practice, reward innovation and celebrate excellence across the global audio visual industry. Making the shortlist is a real honour and a great accolade. Our heartfelt thanks to AV Magazine for the recognition, and a huge congratulations to the whole First Network team.
Winners will be announced at the AV Awards Ceremony which takes place on the 29th of September at the Grosvenor House Hotel - we're keeping everything crossed!
Hej från Stockholm!
First Network is at The Munchenbryggeriet in Stockholm today. It's the start of a three-day Stockholm Conference for a major investment banking client. Our equipment arrived safely last night after a 1,200 mile road-trip over the weekend and our teams were on site late last night and early this morning to ensure everything was set for the arrival of the first delegates.
The Munchenbryggeriet, or Munich Brewery, is a fabulous historic venue located right in the heart of the old city of Stockholm, with stunning views across the Baltic Sea. Following renovation and building of new facilities in 2009, the Brewery now offers 14 unique conference rooms & halls. It was the perfect choice for a conference of this magnitude.

Regional Investment Conference Series
First Network had teams across the country last week, working on a series of regional conferences for one of our major investment clients. Venues include the Birmingham Hyatt, The Bristol Hotel and The Grove in Hertfordshire.
Each event welcomed around 60 of the company's key clients seated in cabaret style. First Network delivered full AV, including audio, lighting, set design, staging, crew and relay screens. The roadshow gives managers the opportunity to meet key clients in a relatively intimate setting to share investment plans and to present their views of the investment market.
First Network have delivered these annual regional events for several years now and were honoured to have been asked to work on them once again. Similar Southern and Northern Regional Conference series will also be held later in the year.
