First Network had a fabulous day at last Sunday’s 163rd Annual Boat Races. For the second year running our team provided screens, audio and visual control to the hospitality area of the headline sponsors – ensuring guests were able to follow all the action throughout the day.
The annual Boat Race sees Cambridge and Oxford battle it out on the Thames on a 4.25 mile course from Putney to Mortlake. Arguably one of the major events in the UK sporting calendar, The Boat Races are watched by some 250,000 spectators who line the course to cheer on the teams. This year the weather was especially kind. Blues skies and mild temperatures gave the day a carnival feel and supporters were out in force to enjoy the spectacle, and the sunshine.
In the women’s race the Cambridge team ended Oxford’s four-year winning streak in record time. Oxford then responded by securing their 80th victory in the men’s race.
We were delighted to play a small part in such an iconic event. Our heartfelt congratulations to all those who took part.
