First Network delivered a two-day Investment Forum at Hertfordshire’s spectacular Grove Hotel this week. The client was a major Global Investment Company. The event comprised a series of conferences, seminars and break-out events and included a glittering gala dinner. This was the sixth year running that First Network have delivered the Annual Investment Forum, which brings together nearly 200 delegates from across the UK. With its 300 acres of stunning parkland just a stone’s throw from London, The Grove provided the perfect backdrop.
First Network created a bespoke tiered stage set and room dividers to provide a large ‘back stage’ area where our crew could work behind the scenes. Our LED wall was centre-stage and we also managed full lighting and audio. Live video was streamed to large screens to the sides of the stage and comfort screens were provided as an aid to speakers. Delegates were encouraged to interact with speakers via individual iPads provided at each seat. We also provided delegate voting software so that opinions could be canvassed from the audience.
Keynote speakers included the 11th President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso and Former Director General of MI5, Baroness Manningham-Buller. During the afternoon drinks reception, delegates were entertained by an interview between former England and Lions rugby player Martin Bayfield and former All Black Sean Fitzpatrick.
The evening event was held in the venue’s new Cedar Room – a fabulous space whose floor to ceiling glass marries the beauty of the outdoors with the flexibility of indoor innovation. We were lucky enough to enjoy some early spring sunshine which flooded the room with sunlight to stunning effect.
At dusk, First Network lit the grounds of the venue with more than 80 uplighters. These were all dimmed during the entertainment act, ‘Pixel Poi’ – incredible LED sticks that are swung to create illuminated images.
